DVI-A to
M1-D Result: - Incompatible
Formats, Use a Converter
Here we have a situation
where one device is analog and
the other digital. These
two formats are completely
imcompatible with one another,
although connecting the two is
not completely impossible. You
have two options when you run
into a situation like this.
You can replace the DVI-A device
with another that supports a
digital format such as
HDMI, DVI-D, DVI-I, DFP, or EVC
(M1-DA, P&D), or you can use a
signal converter. The
latter usually ending up being
more expensive and with a lesser
quality result. If you
choose to use a conversion box
you must select the right one
out of a choice of two. If
your source device is DVI-A and
your display device is M1-D you
will need a VGA to DVI
Converter. Should your
source device be M1-D and the
display DVI-A you will need
instead a DVI to VGA Converter.
For both of these routes you
will also need a DVI-A to VGA
cable and a DVI-D to M1-D (P&D
Digital) Cable. Below
you'll find the hardware and the
cables you may need and some
adapters you may find useful for
your application. Should
you have any questions, please
feel free to click the Live Chat
link on the bottom left hand
side of this page.
